Our Project - charity: water & Trees For The Future
With the help of local experts and community members, charity: water finds the best sustainable solution each area. Whether it’s a well, piped system, or a BioSand Filter, each water point also coordinates sanitation and hygiene training to establish a water committee where usable water keeps flowing for generations.
With the belief that water at its most natural and pure form can do wonders for the body, Water Liberty’s ideologies are very similar with charity: water.
Water Liberty has been working with charity: water since the summer of 2014 to successfully complete a water project in West Bengal, India, building two wells for a community of 400 people. The estimated completion time would be in Spring, 2016. Upon completion, the people and their children in the community will have safe and clean water to drink and use.
Trees for the Future is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the livelihoods of impoverished farmers by revitalizing degraded lands. Aiming to better lives and create sustainable living conditions in third world countries, Trees for the Future have tree-planting efforts in sub-Saharan Africa in Cameroon, Kenya, Senegal, Uganda and Tanzania. By planting specific types of trees and crops in a systematic manner over a four year period, families can change their lives forever.
We at Water Liberty not only want to spread cutting edge research on water science and educate the public on water’s healing properties, we also feel strongly about giving back to the planet and it’s this ideology that brings Water Liberty and Trees for the Future together.
“Use wisely, paper equals trees” is a motto that we’ve heard and kept in mind. Instead of using paper towels which can harm our planet, we promote the strong, reusable and versatile NanoTowels. For every pack of NanoTowels sold, a tree will be planted with Trees for the Future anywhere from coastal areas to mountains, restoring soil that had been unproductive for decades or even hundreds of years.
As of December 2016, over 89,688 trees have been planted due to our combined efforts and the number is still growing every single day.
It's never too late to plant trees; perhaps the best time is today. Support Us!
